The Kurt Herman Quartet

The Kurt Herman Quartet is led by Kurt Herman on vibraphone and electronic mallets.  Kurt has played at venues in California and New York with classical and jazz artists including Valentina Osinski and Tarik Shah.  Saxophonist Awan Rashad (Blue Note Big Band, Matt Wilson) has played at many NY jazz clubs including The Blue Note and Dizzy’s. Chris Macchia (Joe Louis Walker, Arch Stanton) on bass and Dan Palladino (Dan Palladino Quartet) on drums round out the group.  The band plays jazz standards including songs by Pat Metheny, Wayne Shorter, Steps Ahead, and the Modern Jazz Quartet.  Their original material combines elements of Jazz, New Classical Music, and Electronica.  

Kurt has three albums on Spotify :  Samantha Jane – Catskill Vibe, The Kurt Herman Trio – Young and Foolish, Samantha Jane and Kurt Herman – All the Things You Are.  Another CD of the Quartet will be out this fall.
